Via Francigena from Viterbo to Rome
We did it, 120 k over 5 days, through glorious Italian countryside; ancient olive and hazelnut groves, woods, beautiful medieval villages and fascinating towns.
We tacked many climbs (some challenging), brambles, rocky trails, pavements and heat - but we did it! We’ve stayed at so many lovely Italian run agritourismos and hotels and dinned like kings and queens. - thank you Italy.
October 2023
The National Park Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche, Huelva, Andalusia
On this break we immersed ourselves in the embracing culture of this area, walking 6 miles a day soaking the rural beauty, flora and fauna spread over spectacular far reaching views. Then we enjoyed activities such as wine and jambon tasting, cheese making, swimming and shopping.

Northern Camino Trail from
San Sebastian to Bilbao
Set in beautiful Northern Spain, this adventure took us along coastal paths and through luscious forests, visiting both modern and historical towns. In total we walked 125 Km (80 miles) with a few steep climbs! We swam, we laughed and we felt victorious upon achieving this challenge.
June 2023
Portuguese Camino Trail from Porto to Santiago de Compostella
Over 2-weeks we traversed the full 265 km (164 miles) through the stunningly beautiful and diverse Portuguese and Galician landscapes from Porto to Santiago De Compostela. It was tough but oh so very rewarding. Great company, gorgeous food and beautiful and diverse views. One highlight was scooting over the channel to leave Portugal and enter Spain.
June 2022
The Finisterre Way
Santiago de Compostella to Muxia
The quiet Finisterre Way or Camino de Vista route of the Camino de Santiago is the only trail that starts in Santiago. Passing quiet villages, remote farmlands and unspoiled landscapes we finally reached the sea cliffs of the western most point in Spain, at Kate Bristow, after walking 120 km (75 miles) together. Firm friendships and many happy memories made!
